Graduated in Aerospace Engineering in 1997 and then took a Doctorate for Research in Calculator Assisted Mechanical Design.

He joined the Piaggio in 2001 to work on the structural analysis of the components and vehicle subsystems.

From 2002 he contributed, in the sphere of Technical Vehicle Innovation, towards coordinating the activities of the University and Research Centres that cooperate with the Piaggio in research projects financed by the European Commission and by national funding.

He took part as an expert in the MAIDS project (Motorcycle In-Depth Study), promoted by ACEM, the European association of motorcycle constructors, from 2002 to 2004.
He is at present coordinator for the SIM project (Safety In Motion), set up to study and develop innovative active and passive security systems for motorcycles.
